LCD's for FPS

that Benq your checking on newegg has gotten good reviews too.  I always go with samsung but i saw that benq and it does look good.  things you want in a LCD:  brightness of 250 or higher and a contrast of 550 or higher and faster then 16ms.  I've had a sony 21inchcrt before i had this 19inch lcd and i like the lcd better it's brighter and is easier to lug around.

I've got an LG L1970HR and it works great.  However I find running it in analog mode works out better than running it in digital mode.  Here are the important specs.  2ms refresh rate (grey-to-grey), 1600:1 contrast ratio (been told its dynamic), and the base folds into the back of the screen for easier transporting.  It has a 1280x1024 native resolution but lower resolutions look just fine in games.  Unfortunately this monitor only sells at Best Buy so it will be worth checking out if you can get to one or know someone that has one.  My cousin has one so that pretty much sold me.  It also sold me on the concept of using an LCD screen.  This replaced a 4 year old (yet perfectly functioning) CRT screen.  Anyone want it?

Btw, I run analog mode because it gives those "in-between" resolutions, better colors, and gets rid of some stupid rolling issue I saw in Counterstrike Source.

I got the benQ a while ago, I love it, I cannot see any ghosting at all.  I kinda want a bigger widescreen one now, 1280x1024 has gotten mundane.

I currently have a 8ms and 12ms monitors. On the 12ms I can tell Movie Ghosting, but on the 8ms it is practically invisible.  Right now I am in an apple store looking at their 30" display, and it looks really appatizing!  Only 12 weeks at staples should pay for it!  I have to stop buying stupid Crap!

I think 8ms and under is ok for FPS, the 2ms screens are getting cheaper now.

I can't tell on my 8 while playing games... But I would like to take the time to say, the best hardware doesn't make you the best gamer. :)
