Airwolf mod for 1942
« on: December 28, 2007, 12:21:16 PM »
Ok I know I will be showing my age by asking about this but I have to.  I was reading wikipedia a bit today and I came across an article about Airwolf (the TV show).  One of the sections had a thing about video games made out of it and I saw this:

Battlefield 1942 has DC Final based Airwolf mini-modification.

Have any of you seen and/or played with this mod??  Does it sound as cool to you as it does to me??  Didn't look for it yet as I am at work and wouldn't be able to play it anyway.  Of course it will only be cool if while you are flying the helicopter you hear the wolf howl like screech.
Never, but never question the engineers judgement.

I used to have an Airwolf lunch box in elementary school; that and Fall Guy ;)

I don't remember, was it Airwolf or Fall Guy that had the dude on the Jet Pack? That's what I would want to play.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I loved airwolf with Jan Michael Vincent.  And other then that series and hooper with Burt Reynolds he had a very short acting career.  But i loved the black helicopter that was virtually indestructable.  It was like Knight Rder meets helicopters without the haselhof.

It said it was sort of built into Desert Combat. I still have my BF1942 cds maybe I should dust them off for this one.

Wow, I've heard of pretty much every mod out there but never this one! How was it Rathe? I'm guessing it was probably just a slight mod to the helicopters in DC to make them more nimble or something? I still play 1942 a couple of times a week but haven't played DC since the 2005 or 2006 LAN.

I just came across this today and remembered this thread. In case you want to re-live the old days of Airwolf on TV, here you go: http://www.fancast.com/tv/Airwolf/142/episodes
