Black Ops
« on: January 29, 2011, 08:53:47 PM »
I went to the MLG in December and found out that Black ops plays great on a lan.

As some of you might know, MLG uses a firehouse that has DSL so it has a mostly non-existent internet connection so it seems clear that when the server and all clients are all on the same lan, only stats and steam use the internet.

Pings were about 10.

Hopefully, we can get some black ops going.

The response to this will be the same as for Bad Company 2 and Starcraft 2- they'll let us play and organize our own tournaments, but they won't hold an official tournament because they cannot guarantee everyone a stable connection.

Actually. this thread was finished in the second post. I`m going to lock it and remove the rest of the replies to keep it more organized and on track also to serve as a reference for others that may have questions about internet based games at our events.
