Mk, I just wanna know whos got an Xbox 360, and what they did to get one.


Personally - Waited inline @ Sams Club from 6:30am till 7am, Got xbox360 premium package w/wireless controller, charger, and remote, and Perfect Dark, left about 7:30am after getting starbucks.

I always wait a bit. Price drop and to see what the modding community can do. I mean, I love my Xbox because it can play videos over the network.. Sometimes  it's not about the best hardware. But how it fits itself into my life.

Yeah i soft moddded mine finually, put xbox mce and burnout 3, only 2 thinks anyone needs on an xbox, but i cannot wait to play Perfect Dark Zero, that game was the Crap for multiplayer.   and PS3 doesn't come out till march...im not waiting that long

PC will forever be my gaming medium of choice.  However the Nintendo Revolution looks incredibly promising.  The availability of the ENTIRE catalog of Nintendo games from NES/Famicom to GC and beyond is going to be $MONEY$.  Also the controller is really cool and should change how we play games.

Impressions after playing X360.

Not impressed at all.

keep in mind first gen games are never very good...

after about a year better stuff will come out that is tons tighter and smoother... also one upside to 360 is its capability to use Dx10 in the future

I played the 360 demo unit, my 9800pro is about on par with graphics, cost less too.

My next set-top box will be a HTPC (probly knopmyth)

everything i've read about the xbox360 seems crappy.

First, huge developers like John Carmack and Tim Sweeny hint that the xbox and ps3 are no more powerful at rendering then todays top of the line pc's.  Seems to me that everyones buying into the marketing hype of these next gen consoles.  

secondly,  with the exception of certain types of games (racing, fighting etc...)  most games can be played on the pc and without the need to buy a hdtv to look good.  Developers are trying to make games for all the platforms not just one so they make the most off of each title.  

thirdly,  i can't imagine playing a rts/rpg/fps with a console controler.  keyboard and mouse is definitly the way to go.  

also, i just read that the xbox360 is having a ton of trouble running quake4 at acceptable fps.  Id developed the game for both PC and xbox360 simultaniously so it's not some crappy port.  So to me that statement really tells the tale of the console.

who knows maybe im way off base and it's gonna rock the gaming market and kill everything else out there but somehow i doubt it.

1st Gen Game consoles suck, I'll if I would want one, I would wait a few months. In anycase, I would buy a mass upgrade for my pc over buying a new 360. PC gaming is the only gaming of choice I do and won't waste cash on 360 unless is goes down drastically in price. I'm out

I just have no interest in xBox anything..380, 180, or otherwise. To me, a majority of the games seem to me racing or sports related and those just arent my thing. And, im less of a fan of console based FPS's. And why would I want to pay for my online multiplayer activities? Im already paying for the internet and ive already bought the game. ugh. Ill wait for PS3 and then Ill wait a bit longer so I dont get a first Gen one.
