As we all know, at the end of TF2, Optimus killed The Fallen. And not just killed, but goddamn punched his fist through The Fallen's goddamn spine and then through his chest. How he killed someone that's supposed to directly serve Unicron, I'll never know, but whatever. MichaelEXPLOSIONBaySPLOSION. What they're showing here is something that happened well before TF1. The discovery of another form of life. Soooooo.... select people have known about these "robot people" and that's it.

What I think will happen is that they'll tie that knowledge in with all the spiffy secret-agent stuff from the first one, be that the creation of the tech that could detect, spy on and ultimately keep the transformers in check. Remember that the humans were able to keep Megatron frozen, Bumblebee tied down and semi-held in place, and the Allspark actually contained in an area where no other life form could sense it.

Blah blah blah, fast forward to the present day, blah blah blah new love interest for Witwicky (confirmed as a new female lead who only has modeling experience behind her), blah blah new robots activate, giant robot battles, meaningful human cuddly-wuddly *GAG* parts, big BaySPLOSION finish.

That *looks* like it could be the Ark and Alpha Trion, but that would pre-date and completely spin off from the original story, that the transformers crashed on earth with Optimus in charge of the Autobots instead of Alpha Trion being in charge of a skeleton crew. Hell, in the cartoon, I think A-T is supposed to have been part of the matrix for a loooooooong time.

Here's to hoping for Hot Rod, Kup, Shockwave, Soundwave as an active character, some truly destructive and brutal reimagining of Unicron....... and the death of Megatron and the birth of Galvatron.

That being said..... the robot at the end looks old. It might be Unicron. FANBOYSQUEAL.
