Windows 8 "metro" apps
« on: March 24, 2013, 06:26:11 PM »
Are there any gotta have it apps in the Windows 8 store, metro or other?

After initially installing Win8, i tried out all the built-in metro apps and looked in the store for anything that caught my eye.  That experience proved that all the metro apps were pretty horrible and barely functional, so I've never gone back.

Am I missing anything?  Any really good apps everyone should know about?

The new Solitaire app isn't bad.  Has all different types of Solitaire instead of just klondike.
Never, but never question the engineers judgement.

For the Suzie Homemaker side of you, Cocktail Flow and iCookbook are really nice.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
