That's kinda cool i guess.  I have a thing about getting MS updates from "outside" sources more or less pre-released.

Just saying.  I'm not using a torrent to get it.  Then you might run into all those early install issues.  Plus what happens when the final update comes out?  You might have to uninstall this one.

Oh here is a quote from that post:

Re: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Download Available

I got an invalid data when I ran the update on the X64

Thanks but no thanks,

I gave it a shot because.... well, I have nothing to lose. Install took a little time, but everything seems fine. No errors at all. 2 reboots and it was done.

How's your build match up to the one posted in the link?  (7601.17514.101119-1850)

The one I have has "6.1.7601.17514" in the details tab when I right-click and check the properties.

Also, Feb 22nd is the release date for Bulletstorm. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!!

Probably going to need to have it installed before you play! That game is getting a hell of a lot of flack. And it isn't even out yet.

Yeah, fox news flack. I just read all about that. If your kids play Bulletstorm, they may damage their minds and become rapists! Oh well, to be expected of such "high class" journalists.

Also, B.S. (heh... BulletStorm) is said to be on GFWL and the single player campaign is about 10 hours long. No word (as of last night) on LAN play, but there is co-op and the ps3 version does offer system link co-op, I think.

Well, to be fair, Epic makes it and EA is publishing and... no, wait, that's not fair.

Well, I don't plan on buying it anyway.  I will play the SP however.

SP1 is now available from MS. Check your Winders Update to grab it, or if you're getting errors like I did, you can get it from Microsoft Service Pack Center (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/service-packs).

I don't anticipate any issues, but i'm a little hesitant installing it until the big lan is over.  :)
