Zboards are old now. =P

One of my friends has one, and omg, it's so hard to type on. He also has problems w/ getting it put in just right, otherwise the keys won't work. Too much for sth that's not going to be completely reliable. But, it is neat, especially when they have different inserts for different games.

I'm holding out for a much neater keyboard that's supposed to be coming out w/in the next year. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. Gurr. It'll come to me. But anyways, you can program keys. Different languages, games, even photoshop. And the keys are colored pictures. How cool is this ? VERY !

Please forgive Pride. He has been out of touch lately (or is it that bad batch of crack AngryHostage sold him?).

Regardless, Z-Boards have been around for quite awhile. I tried them out at QuakeCon '04. I didn't like that they forced you to use the default keys for the most part. For example, I like to use the "c" key for crouching instead of the left-ctrl key like a lot of games use. Yes, you can change it, but then you lose the effect of having each key labeled with its function.

Which is where the Optimus comes in. Now that looks über.

If the optimus ever comes out I will be right there to hit that up!
It would be sweet to write a app for it to use the keyboard as a screen!!!

i'm using Z-Board right now, prefer standard keyset, but best feature, cleaning, just remove the keyset and its done....unless you spill orange tea all over it, thats a pain in the butt to clean.

The Optimus is set to be released w/in the next year. The only thing they're waiting on is a patent from what I gathered.
