You know how much flak they would get for raising prices because they were caught and had to pay fines?  I really doubt they would risk all the business they would lose.

Well not so much anymore, but in some places all you can get is Comcast or Verizon, so to those that only have one, I wouldn't doubt it

Well you can all relax, Comcast didn't get fined for this. And besides, the price for internet hasn't changed in forever so I doubt you'd have seen anything along those lines anyway.
