Title: Vista beta 2 Public Release

MS has finally released Vista Beta 2 for public consumption and is available for download.

Go through the steps at the above link and get your product key. When you get to the download page, you will probably run into the message that due to overwhelming demand, they are currently not accepting new requests.

HOWEVER....

On the right side are links under the heading "To use your own download manager" that give you a direct link the downloads and will bypass the "busy signal" that you get when trying to use their download manager.

One caveat for those looking to download the x64 version. It appears that IE and Opera can not download files larger than 4GB (the 64-bit ISO is just over that), and will show the download as being only ~13MB. FireFox handles this correctly and you should have no problems. If you are getting the 32-bit version, which is only 3.2GB, you should not have any problems.

I was able to get the 64-bit iso to download using Opera. It gave me a big fat "ACCESS DENIED" when i clicked the link. So I copied the link and in the transfer window of opera I pasted the link in the 'Quick Download' box and bam... it be downloading.

What version? I've got Opera 8.54, Build 7730 and it seems to think the file is only 13.8 MB.

Opera 9 beta... but i tried it in 8.54 and it also works... though you have to CnP the link into the quick download box.

I am supprised that they don't have a torrent of it!
