I got it last night as well.  I didn't check it this morning but I am hoping it will be done by the time I get home tonight.  So I guess we are doing UT3 tonight then.

Mine was stuck at 99% this morning and I can't get it to resume. The free weekend is going to be over before I ever get to download it!

Ya, I have been trying to download UT3 (which I purchased) since yesterday at like 2pm, and I still don't even have 1GB of the download finished, because Steam keeps taking a big steamer on me.

Seems strange that there would be such a demand on their servers for UT3. I wouldn't have expected this much of a comeback of people for this game. Maybe I'm underestimating the draw. Or maybe they are just having bogus issues.

I think the full download is 8+GB per download... so I can see how this could clog up some interweb tubes, but I would have thought they planned for stuff like this.

Well you figure the update is 1 Gb itself.  So all the people who already had it are getting it.  And then all the people who are getting it for the free weekend are getting it.  Then all the people who bought it for $12 are getting it.  That is a lot of people.

I don't think that Decepticon or I use VPNs to our house... we just RDP to our boxes.

Setting up a split tunnel VPN would be pimptastic though...

RealVNC FTW!  Free and easy to setup.  Even has encryption built in - dunno how good but still.  If you're a stickler on security, setup a VPN or use PUTTY.
