Here's a little diddy I made. FYI: I've been making house and drum and bass tunes for some time now. Tell me what you think.

That makes me want to get back into FruityLoops and Reason again.
Not bad though.
-
I've actually been wanting to post my tunes on here, but I didn't know if you guys are into that kind of music.
-
These were actually completed about a year and a half ago. And I use nothing but Reason. I am still working on getting the audio mastering (levels and whatnot) down pat.
Here's another:
We're all animals

Using ReWire with FL and Reason is awesome. I've only made one successful song with Reason.. I ended up figuring that I'd need a MIDI controller of some sort if I wanted to do it properly. Laying down notes with the mouse(or trackball) is a pain in Reason.
Though I started using FL back at version 2 when I was in 9th grade. Made a few trance-ish songs with that. I might have to put them up for kicks.
-
If you want, I have the newest Reason. And I know what you mean about the midi controller, I went out and bought the 4 octave Oxygen keyboard. Best buy IMO.
-
If the newest version of Reason is 4, I have it :)

Alright I uploaded one of my favorites I made:
Falling Up (http://www.fifthcolumnguild.com/Agent4054%20-%20Falling%20Up%20clip.mp3)
Listener beware... it is ~13:30 in length. It's actually a clip of the full thing. The full thing was originally 23 mins but I chopped off the first half of it since when it was played in full, it just sounded redundant. This is actually the first song I made where I did not use any pre-made drum loops at all. I usually did, since I absolutely suck when it comes to percussion. Though, I somehow managed to get it right in this one. This song was made in 10th grade(circa 2001) made completely with FruityLoops 3.
BTW, Decepticon.. I really like "We're All Animals" a lot. Much more than the first. (and sounds a whole lot more professional than any of the crappy FL stuff I made)
-
When I used to use Impulse Tracker I had the habit of making epically long songs. It was more like 4 songs that mixed in and out of eachother.
Damn, this sounds pretty good! Good enough to spin! Did you do all the filtering by hand, or were they multiple samples that were filtered already?
I particularly like the sudden breakdown and buildup! Chord progressions are nice too!
-
I think I still have the project file laying around here somewhere... I did most of the filtering by hand. Lots of envelope automation tracks hehe.
I had thought about redoing the song in Reason. Reason's synths are soooo much better in sound quality.
-
The beats towards the end are a very nice touch as well.
-
Hehe thanks. That is a much better response than I was expecting to get. Glad ya like. :)
(I think I semi-hijacked your thread)
-
Not when it's invited.
-
I decided to upload the full version of the song because when I listened to it again, I figured it wasn't terribly redundant. So why not..

Why thank you! I have only played that tune at a few clubs in Baltimore, and on 88.8FM in Baltimore as well. It's probably my favorite tune I have ever made.
-
Here's another one:
Pot Shots [VIP] - Remix of a friend of mine's tune called Pot Shots. It's pretty much an instrumental tune. But also one of my best.

-
And yet another. Lemme know if this is getting redundant!
Exit Wounds - Another instrumental. All piano work was recorded 'live'. (well recorded for four measures, then looped)
