They did a really good job of digitally replacing all the SFX scenes in TOS, so i think they could do a good job with this.  Whereas with TOS, they artistically had to make some of the new cg shots look... dated, to keep it from being in stark contrast to the rest of the show, i wonder if they will have no such holdbacks with TNG.



The thing that amazes me is that since all the acting parts were done on film, but they said all production was done on the video level, they will have to replace every SFX scene and possibly every SFX spot... basically reproduce the whole thing from scratch with modern cg technology.
