The Ship is primarily a multiplayer, online murder game with a unique set of game rules.

The Ship is owned by the mysterious Mr X and as one of many 'lucky' recipients of a free ticket you arrive on board The Ship to find there's a catch to your luxury cruise.

You are coerced into a brutal Hunt to indulge Mr. X's fantasies, under threat of death for not only yourself, but also your family. Your only chance to save yourself and your family is to play the Hunt and win.

I have the game and I have two copies that are giftable. I know some others might have copies for gift as well. I remember when this game came out it was a lot of fun if you had enough people to play. I would love to get a game of this going one night.

I guess I would like to know who has the game and wants to play, and who doesn't have the game but wants to play. Depending on interest we might have enough to cover people with gifts... But if there are more people wanting than gifts maybe we can do a random drawing or something.

I'd be interested in a copy... I'm digging all the "new" (to me at least) co-op mp stuff....

I appear to have a copy too to give away as well as one to play for myself.

Sounds like fun. I'd be up for it but I don't have a copy myself.

Well, Fiveaces and Curse wish to lay claim to my two copies. So that would be 5 of us... It would be great to have at least 6 maybe 8.

I would also appreciate a copy if available.

I'm down for a copy. In exchange I do have a copy of Banditlands (I think with DLC) to gift out.

I'd be interested, but TBH, Skyrim still has me too entrenched in its dungeons and keeps to play something else right now.

I saw this too.  Looks interesting.  How are games setup?  Matchmaking?  Dedicated server?

You can get the dedicated server files from Steam. That's all I know...I've never played the game but I remember thinking it looked interesting when it first came out.

The Linux CLI for getting The Ship takes a whole bunch more -options because you have to specify the header and port number of each individual packet and the physical address of each sector on your hard drive. Or you could put it all in a script and just execute "UpdateShip"

I love me some scripts... I am working on some now that will let me use SiriProxy to control my instances of TF2.  :hehemean:

No worries, as difficult as that might sound the *nix community will be extremely helpful if you run into any problems.
