Anyway, with that off my chest, I just wanna shout out to the new AOE game coming out October 19th. I can't wait till it arrives. I have it on preorder already. If anyone else is into stategy realtime games, shout out to this. The graphics are unbelievable. If you haven't seen them yet, take a peek (google that up!!!) One other point, what do you guys think about the upcoming QuAke 4 release. I'm a little hesitant to preorder it because as everyone already knows, I was taken over by a new devoloper. Just wanna get your input. To this day, Quake 3 is the game for ultimate fast pace fragging, even though unreal 04 is the hot game of choice (graphics kill). Just wanna shout out to ya. Let me know of your input.

One Last Though... I read about the points for the store thing, how about giving points to those who show at the lan. If the merchandise is good enough, you might intise a few more to come on down and get fragged up. Just some thought from the No0b.

lol welcome to fites bro!

I am not particularly into AoE... but I KNOW that Taint and some of the others prefer them to FPS's... so you shouldnt have any trouble finding some gamers to join you.

As for the points.. I try to do contests now and again online... but keeping track of points for people who show up adds a lot of work.  Something to think about tho..

I am not a big AOE fan either.

As far as quake 4 goes...i got to play it at quakecon, and i must say that it was quite good.  I am not a big quake fan, but i did like it a lot.  The graphics are great, and it is nice and fast paced

i like quake, the first time i ever played it i got owned by the computer and fragged like 12 times in a row at the LAN but it was all in all a fun time we almost make it to finals in instagib 6 V. 6 UT.

I am a -huge- fan of RTS games. Generals, AOE, RA2, WCIII (and II). Infact, I play them more than FPSs.

I'll get one going with ya shadow, sounds like a fragging blast from the past. I saw some recent screenshots of Quake, but It stinks that id backed out. I think it should be interesting to see how they handle MP in Q4, considering for the longest time, Q3 was the god of multiplayer lan tournaments. I hope they can keep that streak alive in the recent addition.

id made the engine to a lot of games they weren't directly involved in. Do you have any idea how many hundreds of games are based on the Quake 3 engine?
