Thanks from >:O

Dear FITES.

I think I speak for the rest of our group who attended FITES200 (chr0n0phage, L34H, Lilb, landandis, Glyphic) and would like to thank you guys for an awesome weekend.  Everything went very smooth.  We had alot of fun!

I had voiced conerns of internet reliablity in the past, on this forum and others, but it worked flawlessly for its intended purposes.  Ping to the FITES and the >:O Bad Company 2 servers were never over 100ms.  The people around us playing BLOPS never complained about lag. Props to sully.

I was very relieved too.  Signed banners bitching about no LAN support may voice our opinions but as long as inside deals are made between publishers and hosting companies this is sure to be the direction the industry is heading.  While it may or may not be a bad thing to everyone, it will just force anyone who has these events to make some changes.

We met some cool people.  Maryland LAN Gamers (sitting behind us), and Chill Zone Gamers (sitting at our same table).  We played a couple rounds of BC2 and I've since reached out to both groups on their forums to hopefully stay in touch in the future.

I dont think I'd be the only person who would love to see FITES do an event like this TWICE! a year.  Last year's even seemed like it was a decade ago.  We have our own mini LAN's every 6 weeks or so, but its definitly nothing compared to what you guys put on.

Your BC2 server is favorited and you guys should do the same with ours.  Just search >:O in the browser.  We are on virtually every night.  Next time you guys get the BC2 itch shoot me an email and we can hop into the same server!  It would be fun!

In closing I'd like to again say THANKS! and give a little *nudgenudgepokepoke* to Fr4g0u7 for this: http://www.meanyfaceclan.us/tagstagstags.png  in the two rounds I played with him and Wallzy (in game stats shows 4 :headscratch:) I would have liked to put a face with the name :( though.

We really appreciate your feed back folks! FITES would love to do an event twice a year but for now, we're focusing our resources on the yearly event. We hope to see you all next year!

BUT!

We have the monthlies (more like bi-monthlies) that are a ton of fun. Very laid back. Relaxed. You've been before.

Great post krakah... I was there too, but only in spirit!  Heard it was a blast from our guys at Vitality Gaming (formerly known as RN Gaming) -- looking forward to adding the >:O BC2 server to our favorites and playing with all of our groups together!

To echo krakah's sentiments, I too had a great time. At the end of the night Saturday, seeing almost 1.5TB of uploads on my DC++ client, it seems most of you did as well.   :2thumbsup:
