Title: Supercade time, homies!
Post by: Czar on February 03, 2011, 03:21:43 PM
A while back I mentioned 2dfighter.net, a site ya can go to, connect with other games via some program they have and play multiplayer MAME games over das net. It's awesome. Like being at the arcade. Several games are supported.

Recently, the brand has changed to Supercade.net (http://supercade.net/Supercade/Default.aspx) and more games are supported. The program has been revamped..and MORE GAMES ARE SUPPORTED! WOo!

While it wouldn't be fair for me to challenge anyone at any fighting game (bwhahaha) they do have some co-op games that are fun to engage in. Alien Vs Predator (2d side scroller), 2 D&D co op games, stuff like that.

Anyone down?

Man, you are SO asking to get owned in ssf4.

at the lan, yes, I`ll prolly get owned. To be honest, I don't use the normal controllers to play. gotta have my sticks. I`ll be at quite a disadvantage. You any good at other SF games? Ones on the supercade list? or any of the VS series? (Marvel Vs Capcom and what not) We can play those. You on a controller and me on the x-arcade sticks.

I loooooove the vs series, but MvC2 isn't on that list and it's been forever since I've played MvC1 and any of the preceding games. As far as what's on that list.... I remember Samurai Showdown being rather cool, KoF games are ALWAYS good, SF3 is just funky fresh (YO), at SF2 I... well, let's just leave it at I gotta have my Cammy on SSF2 and I've played anything Darkstalkers-related maybe a grand total of 3-4 times in my life thus far. A lot of the names on that list ring bells, but that's about it.

Slightly on-topic and off-topic, Capcom Vs Snk2 is killer... but that's a console game.

SF3 is a blast. Are you on AIM often?

I'm on AIM all the time, but I'm also working or sleeping when most everyone else is sleeping or working. Except on fridays and saturdays. Damn 3rd shift. Like right now, I have to get back to sleep for a few hours. :-(

Also, HUGE error in supercade when I try to log in. Repaired .net 4 install as the page states it needs, but it still comes up. I checked the forums, but I'll have to look more in-depth.

Yup. Repaired, restarted. Error. Uninstall, restart, reinstall, restart. Error.

I'll take a pic later tomorrow morning when I get home from work.

The error I got was for not putting a number in the port box. Put any number in there and forward in your NAT settings.

Well, that seemed to be it. Unfortunately, the program NOW tells me that port 433 is still blocked or unforwarded. The IP for my desktop is correct and the router is set to forward on both UDP and TCP. I can log in, though. That's a start.
