Steam question
« on: August 26, 2010, 07:29:55 PM »
The steam forums are full of..... fun people, but you guys are funner! So I ask this question here.

I have 2 pc's that are capable of running BC2. Both Aldius and Maelor also have BC2. I know Steam doesn't allow multiple logins (duh) of the same name, but supposing I log into the other PC and install BC2 under my name and then Aldi or Mae comes to my place to play, would they be able to log into steam on the 2nd PC under their name and have the BC2 files ready to go so they can just log in and play or would they also end up installing the game onto the PC a second time?

Was that too confusing?

They can login and play.  But I don't think BC2 is in the steam cloud so they will have to log in using their account and may have to change some settings.

The steam forums are pretty good IMHO.

Sweet, thanks. That'll simplify things when either of them don't want to haul their entire system up here and have to move the other system out of the way just so they can hook up theirs to play a single game.

Time to get to work, then. Good thing I have my steam games saved off onto the home server.
