Two good buys today.

Blur & Brink.

I mentioned Blur on here before.  An arcade racer like mario kart with real-ish cars.  Very fun.  The "acquired" version works perfectly well over LAN.  But at $5 I'm gonna go ahead and purchase it.  We play this at our own local LAN and its a blast.  You can get up to 20 people in the same race.  This game at FITES200 would be insanely fun.

and Brink.... I made a thread about it before.  This game does not deserve a fraction of the flak that it gets.  Fun gameplay, objectives, team based, good graphics, and dedicated servers. 

If you dont buy anything else on sale this week I suggest these two games.   :hail:

I bought gary's mod and HL:EP2.  Now that I have all the HL ep's I cna now use the high definition mod for half life.

In the area where you first get the buggy and are driving around/away from the antlions, there was a HUUUUUGE bridge spanning across the river. Now it's gone. It's been gone for a couple releases and when I asked about it, the guy said he took it out on purpose.

I honestly think it added to the atmosphere a hell of a lot more than not having it there, but that's just me.

I don't think it was meant to be a game per se.  More like a sandbox.  Also used to make animations and 'scenes'....a la:
