Some new information on starcraft 2.
http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2008/10/11/key-starcraft-ii-trilogy-details/Just my initial observation... I think them splitting out the missions between the 3 races out into completely separate products is a really stupid idea. For any new game that comes with *both* a single player and multiplayer aspect, I will play the single player mode as much to enjoy whatever story they have to tell, but also to get used to the game itself, the mechanics, the weapons or features, etc.
With COD4, when I played multiplayer initially, I was doing pretty bad. After getting throught he single player portion, I noticed that I was doing a lot better.
With Starcraft I, the single player missions almost guided you through so you could learn the various units and they would normally force you to use just a few units at a time so you could get used to the strengths and weaknesses of each.
Unless they have some sort of totorial, only allowing you to play one race in the first release will make the learning curve for the protoss and zerg that much harder for people getting into it.
Agree? Disagree?
