Who saw it? who downloaded it? what are you thoughts. i thought it was pretty good.

We don't illegally download movies.  We are all upstanding citizens.  I saw it last night.  As a movie is really good.  Great special effects and a good story.  There are a bunch of things in the movie that don't fit right with the series though.  If you can overlook those things it is very very enjoyable.

but wasnt everything changed due to the time travel so the story would not be the same anyway.

As I understand it, the movie was supposed to be an entirely new take on the star trek universe, story and all. Of course I haven't seen it yet, but I embrace the change. I'm not enough of a die hard trekkie to get pissed off at it.

you won't like it cause i heard it's good.  You only like those crappy movies like cloverfield!  hehe J/K

Yes, I had a great time with this movie. Hell, my wife even liked it, and she went in with the attitude that it was going to suck because it's a Star Trek movie (she's of the belief that since she's a Star Wars fan, Star Trek automatically sucks).

I quite enjoyed it myself, despite some of the small nitpicking qualms I had with it.

It was pretty good, hated the end, too much original Spock.

I liked it. New warp sounds kickass. But I noticed the new Star Trek is very shiny. Lens flares EVERYWHERE! The bridge alone has 5 million anamorphic lens flares.

I'd prolly put it as my 3rd favorite ST movie, only topped by Kahn and First Contact.

2,3,4 and then the New One, and finally First contact the rest are kinda meh.
