I really wanted to get into it and I have the gear... I just don't want to go alone... THERE ARE BEARS OUT THERE!

Yeah, going it alone can be tricky. If I have someone with me (which is rare) We take turns being the look out and aid each other in not looking like creeps.

Does this work with NAV Gps's?
That's Mr. Deception to you.

NAV GPS's? Are they special? Or are you talking about the ones in the car? If you are talking about the ones for cars... Prolly won't work so well since you need to be a bit more precise. I myself have an old Magellan SportTrak Map that isn't even made anymore.

Yeah, Navigational GPS's, the ones in cars and TomTom's.  I figured they wouldn't work since you can't input lat and long cords.

And some of the places you need to go (most) you can't drive to anyway.

If the GPS (car or hiking) has a usb port, you can load waypoints on from yer compy. Garmin works with hte geocaching.com website very nicely. Others may require a 3rd party program. I use a Garmin Street Pilot c330 in my car to take me to the general location and my handheld Garmin eTrex Legend to get to the cache. For a while, I used the c330 for everything and it worked surprisingly well.
