I guess if you like Call of Duty you will like this game.

And I suppose from a FITES standpoint a CoD game with a dedicated server (for which I STILL cant find the files for) would be a good thing for a LAN.

The game was not worth $50 thats for sure.

Damn, it sounds like the only level of realism that would make you happy is to join the Army.  In all seriousness though, I did find that MP around 10:30 last night was rather empty.  This was still a bit surprising although dedicated servers are not out yet.  I was checking out the website link and have to agree it is bunk you can't shoot through fences.  About the camping though, isn't this like real combat?  I know that if my ass was in war, I wouldn't just run across the field and get lit up.  Just my thoughts....to each their own.

No my only enjoyment for realism is not joining the army.  Lets be serious here.

Maybe prone/camping is a personal pet peeve of mine.  I dont expect everyone to share the same idea as me.

Aside from some personal preferences, they're all legit gripes.

  The game is different , I wouldn't say it is a bad game, but it isn't perfect.  With some time to get used to it I think it will be fun.

I can say I HATE this game...
I spent 3 hours doing all kinds of crap.
I was holding off and a bunch of you said it was good enough and I like supporting the LAN play cause... But 3 hours of my time is worth WAY more than $50.

So, I have a ticket in with Steam support since it's their overlay that says it's causing the segfault.
Though it seems the BEST solution found in the steam forums is to pirate the game...

I saw you going in and out of the game last night. Did you have issues with the game locking when trying to connect to MP?  Mine kept locking when attempting to reach a server so I just played SP.

After completing the first mission, I can tell the game is going to be short. I was entertained for the hour played last night. BFBC2 single player seems to edge out the Homefront SP.

Even though this game isn't perfect, the LAN support should keep it relevant and hopefully encourage more dedicated server based games.
