Actually, I've discovered some email is as slow as snails as well.

About 8 months ago, I signed up for a FileFront account.... and I just got the confirmation email verifying my account.... 2 and a half weeks ago. O_o  I should mention that is not the first time that has happened either. A similar occurrence happened with SOE and a bill. I canceled one of my accounts. And got the confirmation letter many months later.

The strange part about it is that the sent date on the email is actually those many months ago. It's not like it took them a long time to send it. It was actually floating out there in limbo for some reason.

We've had similar things happen at work here before. My manager explained it to me a few years ago but I forget what causes it. I think it has something to do maintenance on the servers.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. In fact, there was debate about this very thing in the senate last year. I could try to explain it, but I think Senator Ted Stevens does a much better job than I could ever do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f99PcP0aFNE

Man, that crazy old kook never gets less funny ;)
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
