What are you getting? What are you hoping for?

Something to point out, the complete battlefield 2 collection is on sale for 10 dollars. 50% off the full price. I don't expect this tile to hit a daily or flash, so I jumped on it in violation of steam sale discipline. FOR THE LAN SUPPORT!

Also, some people already know, but I will be mentioning this one in the next FITESCast and the project reality mod.

So with the sale on, what is up for game night?!

I must say...this steam sale has been rather disappointing so far.  I dunno....something about this year does not have me as excited as past sales.

I think there has been less interest in major name titles. Some of the AAA game studios are churning out crap. There just hasn't been another skyrim or other major drool title out there that is hitting the steam sale. Besides, we have days to go yet.

so far i can proudly say i have spent $0 this steam sale on new video games. i already have 350+ games in my library and have played probably 2% of them. i have fully taken advantage of the dota 2 steam summer sale, however.....can't resist those 50 cent chests.

Castle Crashers currently $1.49 and both of the character DLC's are $0.09 each for the next 4 hours 30 minutes.

have to admit that I'm with you (minus dota stuff, don't play moba's) -- at this point, the steam sales have become mini-games themselves; addicting as hell to just BUY BUY BUY

I only got a few things this time around. That castle crashers bit I mentioned, bioshock infinite season pass and 2 DLC thingers for metro last light.

Honestly, there wasn't all that much this time around that I really wanted because... I either already have it or just didn't want to pay for it just yet. What did the rest of FITES get this year?

Picked up Battleblock Theater, CoH 2 w/ Western Front, 4 copies of King Arthurs Gold, 2 copies of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, 4 copies of System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Prison Architect, Lone Survivor and Shovel Knight (that wasn't on sale though). I definitely feel like they were all steals except for Prison Architect and Lone Survivor. Lone Survivor is garbage but I think I paid $2 so nothing lost. Prison Architect is a really good sim but it's not my cup of tea. I would recommend it if you like that kind of game though. Battleblock was probably the winner for my haul. The game had loads of content and is a lot of fun. It was a steal at $4. I would say the sale this year was pretty good. Rolled the dice on a few games without spending a lot of money and ended up coming out way ahead.
