We recently re-located our business so I just went dumpster diving and scored a few thousand feet of CAT 5E cable.

This is the full spec on the cable, don't ask me wtf it means though:
0486 FT SUPERIOR ESSEX 52-200-25 4PR 24 COBRA CMR VERIFIED CAT5E 219 3 H
Clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately it all needs the jacks put on the ends, it was unceremoniously cut off the walls and ceiling.

I know it's expensive to buy this stuff at Circuit City so I'm going to keep enough to wire my house, then Pride and the admins have first dibs.  After that it's fair game for anyone that wants it.  I'll go through it this week and see exactly how much I ended up with and get some idea as to the length.  I can tell you there are several lenghty enough to make 100 footers, and probably a lot of them.

If anyone has access to a pleathora of jacks and a tool to attach them, or could recommend a good, cheap place to get them, it would be greatly appreciated.  I'll probably go to Cumberland Electronics in Harrisburg.

If somebody really wants more than that I can go get ten times this amount, or I can tell you where it is and help you dig it out.  It's in Emigsville (just north of York) and not buried under anything in the dumpster.  Yet.

(It would seem that some jackass here at work has seen fit to block images from Image Shack.  I can't see the picture.)

Von: Thanks.  I was in H.D. and Lowe's last night and checked on a few things.  Those plugs are expensive little buggers.  Six bucks for ten!  They were all out of crimping tools and I forgot to check on the cost of a tester.

Tekie:  How many and how long?  I should have it all sorted out after this weekend.

Those plugs are the types of things you must by in the 100 pack to be efficient.

And i'll take whatever you don't want
