Oh and did I mention its free? Just looking for a way to change up my desktop a little. First of a few mini apps to do so. Thought I would share with the masses

Post by: sully! on July 08, 2010, 08:58:39 PM: Yeah, you're a bit behind the curve on this one, but it's a solid app. I use a similar app on my laptop at work called RKLauncher (http://home.cogeco.ca/~rklauncher/) and it's very handy to have, especially when I'm multi-tasking like a mofo because I can have all the convenience of a large "Quick Launch" toolbar but without taking up a lot of space in the taskbar. It auto-hides and stays out of the way until I mouse over the top-center to bring it into view. It looks like RocketDock is very similar in that regard, but it looks like it has good community support with the add-ons and skins and such, whereas RKLauncher seems to have stagnated and I don't think there's been an update to it in a couple of years.

You can still move the tool bar to the top of the screen in win7.

You used to be able to drag the My Computer icon (or any folder) to the top of the screen and it would make a toolbar with all your drives (or files in the folder) at the top of the screen. Win7 does not do that anymore. Even Vista did it.
