This awesome game is available for pre-order (thanks Decepticon for pointing it out) and I want to go in on a 4 pack. It would turn out to be $11 per person. I've been pumped for this game for a long time now. It is a FPS with MP reminiscent of the Unreal and Quake 3 days (twitch frag fest deluxe). Lots of unnecessary gore. It supports LAN play too :2thumbsup:

I am in.

Someone say twitchy FPS? Count me in for sure :)
-
Awesome. One more signup can even us up for two packs! 5 more signups get us even for 3 packs and a nice little group of people to play.
-
I already hit up Mahoney, Shoctor, and Decepticon since they were the first three to tell me they wanted in. One more and the remaining guys can split a four pack
-
<have not done any research on game and being lazy to ask here>
is there any info on LAN play or other multi-player aspects?
-
It supports LAN play too :2thumbsup:
Reading is a useful tool.

So good. So old school. I'm in for 11 bucks.
-
Awesome. So we have Hateplow, Tibbs, Broken and Gri3v for the next four pack. One of you guys has to purchase it and dish them out to the others. Post in here when you figure it out/do it so we know everyone has been taken care of. Anyone else who wants the game and hasn't been added yet should feel free to let us know too so we can get another four pack going.
-
If you guys are OK with it, I will pick up the 4 pack and you can just get me the money at the 200 in August.
-
Yeah that's cool with me Broken. Thanks man :)
-
I purchased the 4 pack. Tibbs, Hateplow you guys OK with hitting me up at the lan?
-
Yeah that's cool with me Broken. Thanks man :)

anyone remember the LAN center that was in the Plymouth Meeting Mall circa the late 90s? my brother and i used to begggggg our mom to take us there so we could play this since we only had the shareware version at home. ahhh the days of my youth.

Pre-loading for this game now available!
-
Awesome. Looking forward to pre-loading this and playing it tomorrow :)
-
Ok, that's weird. I started a preload and it 'finished' in less than 5 minutes. That doesn't seem right.
-
Same here. Took no time at all.
-
Same here. Size was 5.8 GB
-
I didn't time mine, but it did let me know that preload was complete.
-
Mine was 167MB. I restarted steam and it started grabbing 5.7GB.
-
I got a chance to at least play single player today. This thing is outright silly. Pure silly.
-
I played some SP today, couldnt create an account for MP.
Fun game!
-
I got mine. Got about an hour in. Liking it, and maybe it's just the nostalgia talking, but it feels like there's something missing.
-
Didn't get to play yet. Damn girlfriend came over right after work. Looks like I'll be able to get some time in tonight and tomorrow night. Glad everyone is liking it though. How are the tunes? I've heard a few of them and they sound great. I know I read somewhere that you can use the classic sounds and music too.
-
The music has been really good, and the mechanics are really nice. I had a couple bugs with enemy movement, but they made me laugh more than be problematic. I haven't done MP yet, but I guess the servers are over loaded with people trying to make accounts.
-
So I have put a lot of time into this game so far. It's pretty good and fun but man it is pretty buggy. Lot's of collision issues in SP and there are some level leaks (where I can fall through the map). Also, sometimes the heat seeking style rockets don't react as expected. In the original it would find it's target 99% of the time even if the target is above the player. In this version they seem to have a hard time if the target is not on the same floor or level as from where it was fired from.
MP is Fudgeing chaos! I mean like too much chaos at times. I am all for frantic twitch shooting but if you get into a crowded server..you are lucky to move 5 ft before being vaporized. I also think that it has a lot to do with smaller maps that I have played.
All in all I love the game. The nostalgia alone is worth the 14 (or 11) bucks you spend on it. Looking forward for LAN play and dedicated server files should be released soon...hopefully. I am also going to look into making custom maps too....but we'll see how far I get with that.
-
How many does a MP map support? This might be a great grab for the August LAN especially since MP does not require interwebs.
-
I am so stoked to play this at lan. That is all.
-
Sounds like beltway driving. Should be fun.
