send in the inquisition.... round up the geeks.  prick.   :cussing:

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/20/plot.foiled.ap/index.html

Quoted from Article:

"Norman said that the potential victims were popular students and that the suspects may have been bullied.

"I think there was probably some bullying, name calling, chastising," he said. He also said investigators had learned the suspects were computer buffs who liked violent video games."

I guess the lesson for today is to stop bullying and making fun of geeks. I've been there. I can't count how many times ive envisioned my school(from elementary on up) being rained down upon with fire and brimstone on all of the horrible sinners. Then, ultimately, being vaporized by a ginormous fireball of doooooom. Such were my daily daydreams.

when i was younger and in high school there was a point when i was picked on pretty badly.  All it took was one day i stood up for myself punched some jerk in his face and that was a new beginning for me.  I didnt have to resort to bringing in a firearm and shooting up kids.  Our gene pool is so freaking contaminated by the weak minded and overly sensitive.  It just makes me sick!  Makes me wanna ge a gun and start shoo....wait a minute.  nevermind.  how that oblivion game?

Funny You should say that cause I had the exact same experience. In 11th grade..most people didn't have problems with me..mostly cause I'm a pretty likable person when people start talking to me. But I always kept more to myself and talked to maybe 2 people. Anyways, had 1 issue with a kid in 11th grade...first and only actual fight I got in before.. 1 shot and I knocked him right on his arse.   :2thumbsup:

Ever since then, no one messed with me (guess they figured they wouldn't when they saw a 120 pound geek knock a 300 pound kid on his arse   )

Hence, I got the name rocky from then on and I'm still refered 2 it today   :boxer:

NO   :cussing:

It doesn't surprise me at all that they are targeting popular students. I mean high school is a total cult, jocks and preps get all the women. At my school if you don't drink then you don't fit in. Or if your not on the football team or lift for instance. I mean don't get me wrong I have a lot of friends who are jocks, but do I hang with them. Answer is no here, and another lesson on myspace.

DON'T POST THREATS OF VIOLENCE OF SCHOOL SHOOTINGS OR ANY OTHER VIOLENCE. PEOPLE CAN AND WILL FIND OUT!!!!

Highschool is such a game.  You get out of it what you put into it.
I never really had any problems with anyone but in most any situation violence is pointless.

I'd rather have my pulse than my dignity.

Also, the correlation between violent video games and shootings is total BS.  If someone is going to shoot up their school/work whatever because they liked shooting stuff in GTA, chances are there is something else going wrong too.

Hell, the numbers say it all. Look at the number of video game players vs. shooting incidents, that has to be an astronomically small ratio.

I dunno, things like that get me going.

I have to disagree with you on this one. I'd much rather see people posting their plans where someone will see them so their violence can be prevented before people get hurt.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I agree, let them announce their plans to the world.  And Agent, I'd watch what I say on the internet if I were you, especially w/ you tendancy to combine squirrels and lawnmowers :p .  JK, I know you wouldn't do anything like that.

I can understand how someone can snap after years of ostrocizing though.  I was a girl into video games and anime, I went to a veeerry small high school, needless to say, I didn't always have much in common with people :p .  I definetly don't think a real life round of UT's the asnwer though.  <sarcasm>After all, it's because of games like that that people behave that way. </sarcasm>

Personally, I feel that you've got serious issues if you resort to "death-resulting or crippling" violence because you can't cope.  It has nothing to do with the 6 hours of BF2 per day that you emerse yourself in.

However, those who push the censorship labels and religious fanatics will abuse whatever they need to further their cause.  Hence again, see the Easter thread  :headscratch:
