Starting with the glaring security issue with RealID in game exposing your information via simple scripts that can be burried in addon's, Blizzard is going a step further and will be exposing your full name in the official forums (new version) that will be released with SCII.
Looks like I will be creating an alternate account under the name Sukama Balza and transferring my main.
Forums are nuking over this as well: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=25712374700&sid=1&pageNo=2073 (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=25712374700&sid=1&pageNo=2073)
2k+ pages and 40k+ posts.

It doesn't bother me at all. I don't post on blizzard forums. But for others I can forsee this being a problem.

I have been active on those forums for years. It is a shame to see this going forward.
I am not worried about my personal safety as I have many weapons at my disposal, but ID theft is the bigger threat.

Good news. Looks like the almost 2.5k pages and near 50k plus posts protesting real names got through to them.

"we've decided at this time that real names will not be required for posting on official Blizzard forums"

No surprise. Thing is, I thought they would've been smart enough to know that before all this. Damn attention whores.
