Title: Radeon 7950 deal
Post by: The Nstuff on September 21, 2013, 09:42:25 AM
Saw this on techreport.com:, pretty darn good deal on the 7950 (which I have in my main rig).

Newegg sells HIS's Radeon HD 7950 HIS IceQ Boost for $189.99 after a $65 instant discount and a $15 mail-in rebate. The card has three gigs of RAM and a beefy, blower-style cooler that exhausts air directly outside the case. It's also eligible for the Gold Reward tier of AMD's Never Settle Forever promotion, so you can pick three games out of a selection of nine titles. Even excluding the mail-in rebate, this is a steal.

Looks like the game bundle isn't as good as it used to be (no more BioShock or Crysis 3), but on average, you'd probably be getting a total of $60 worth of free games (each are around $20 right now).  If you had intentions of buying those games anyway, you're down to only $130 for a really nice card.  Closest I can find of the Nvidia competition (660 TI) is $240 with a single free game, yet the 7950 has more memory and is a hair faster.
