Three Way FPS
« on: May 28, 2008, 03:20:00 PM »
So while playing COD4 the other night, a few of us got into a conversation about a FPS style game that would have more than two factions fighting at one time (ex. three way battle).  Tribes came up in the conversation, but what other games are this way?  Is there any chance to play something like this at a LAN?

My rig runs solitaire on ultra high resolution!

UT2k4/UT3 has mods for multiple teams. Like UT2004 has a 4-way CTF mod. That's fun stuff.

Here's a link if you want to check it out: CTF4

Hmmm, any takers on trying this mod some time?  UT2K4 seems to run on all our rigs.  The mod could likely be supplied at the LAN.  Thoughts?

That is essentially how planetside was set up.  you had three factions fiting for the same bases.  each faction had slitely different weaponry.

You don't need a powerful rig to run UT2k4. So it is very friendly for people running on old hardware.

I wasted so much of my life playing that game.  Used to be a lot of fun though.  I think you can actually play for free now if you had an account before.

That is the 'Reserves' program.  You can play for free but are limited to a combat rank of 6 and a 'captain' (?) rank of 2.
That's Mr. Deception to you.
