Generally no.  The entrance opens at 6, there is an area downstairs at the hotel where you can wait if you arrive early.  Every year it seems we have people showing up around 5PM that hang out in the area outside the doors until we compete setup.

We have gotten pretty efficient over the years at getting people situated so there is usually a small line of people that is handled quickly.  If you have a ticket you have a seat, you can pick an assigned seat from the intranet.fites.net page if you have not yet done so.
