TAKE NOTE :

If we decide to use Quake 4, we should obviously use tournament mode. This is obvious.
Though, if more than 2 people are in a tournament mode server, the game may completely crash for any of the players.

It would really suck if a 1v1 was halfway in progress with a close score, then all of a sudden one of the players crash.

There are only 12 or 13 players anyway, so it wouldn't be a problem to do a 1v1 at a time.

Plus, now that I think about it, you can't edit who plays who if everyone joins one server. So you guys have no choice but to put each 1v1 on a seperate server.

But this also talks about admins too. If an admin joins to spectate, the game may crash for any player (at any time, the crash isn't immediate). If you guys wanna take the chance, go ahead, but the results may get ugly :/

set the max players to 2 maybe?

Either way i'll take note of this, playing with the config server-side now

edit: know any good resources for q4 server setup? googleing hasn't turned up much

I just know that it is more likely that people will Have Quake 3 and be familiar with it than Quake 4. Also, we know that Quake3 has proven to be stable, or at least predictable. Also the game play of Quake3 seems to be much more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, Quake 4 is a fantastic game. But in terms of multiplayer, I just have not found it as fun.
