Title: Prometheus spoilers? This is what I think is going to happen.

Don't read if you want to keep the air of mystery. Or read if you want to see what I think is going to happen.







So after watching the international launch trailer, I saw a few things that led me to think how this movie is going to fit into being the prequel to "Alien" and how this movie will explain why the xenomorphs look the way they do.

The thing that made me piece this all together was the humans setting off the launch procedure for the stargazer's ship. They say they've got to stop it before else it'll go to earth. I'm assuming by this that all the humans will die or otherwise not survive. That is, not survive as it make it back to earth. We know they're going to find the "prelude" to the Facehugger, as something very similar attacks one of the crew and I think that's what does it.

The xeno physiology/makeup is that it takes on characteristics of it's host, right? See AvP and the Predalien. I think that the pre-facehugger does it's thing (bow-chicka-wow-wow) with a human and the resulting "new" species is the xenomorph that we all know and love. Think about it. Bipedal with obvious legs and arms, a head, a working human-like jaw and what seems to be a blatant ribcage. I'm pretty sure Ridley Scott didn't plan it this way back in the day, but this is how he made it work out. Humans find the stargazer and the egg room, humans open an egg, humans get infected, xeno kills humans, other humans used as incubators until the colony referenced in the first two movies arrives.

Of course, this'll make AvP and AvP:R irrelevant. I don't care either way, I honestly enjoyed those movies except for the stupid human parts. The actual "Alien versus Predator" parts were pretty awesome, in my opinion.

That's what I think, anyway. I didn't look this up anywhere, just spent some time thinking about it. Of course, the movie is out in a week so we'll find out then.

A fw of us are planning to goto the midnight Launch on Thursday in Ephrata anyone interested?
