Project Offset
« on: April 20, 2007, 07:08:03 PM »
Has anyone seen this? I'm sure Agent has, he always sees this stuff months before anyone else. They're billing it as the first epic fantasy FPS. http://www.projectoffset.com/

Be sure to check out the trailers on the downloads page. It looks freaking amazing graphically.

Also, they are using a gimmick to launch their new site. If you click this link you will help launch the new site. There is a progress bar/hit meter on that page and the idea is that when the bar is full the new site will be revealed.

Have to keep this in mind for the coming months.

Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

Haha Yes, I visited that link from IGN's PC section front page at around 5pm on friday. They said "click the damn link already" quite a few times in their article. And I went on a mass spree of IM'ng people the link.

Must.....move....blue...bar!

It logs unique IP's so you can't just keep refreshing it to move the bar. According to the Project Offset PR guy, new content will appear once the bar goes full. Viral marketing FTW! Pretty clever idea, really.

Here's something interesting...

On the bottom of the viral page(hidden but highlightable), there is this:

01101011 01100101 01100101 01110000 00100000 01100111 01101111 01101001 01101110 01100111

translated is: "keep going"

It's a sign from above! Click the damned link!

I've been following this for over a year now. the graphics are great and it looks to be an awesome game.  I thought it would be out by now.  This beast of a game is one that could really steal the thunder from crysis if it could be out at the same time.
Game trailers has some clips on their site although they are a bit old.

It's up to 65% full from yesterday when I posted it was at 14%. Of course appearing on the front page of digg surely helped that along too. If you go back there now, the little image that was on that page is now a link to a hi-res version of that image so you can see the detail in the scene more clearly.

As of around 7:30am this morning a new screenshot has shown up and the hit bar was reset, so looks like it has started over. Get clicking!
