Any guitarists out there ever used a pod x3 multi effects processor??? I think im getting one tomorrow. I just wanted some additional input on it.
-
You play guitar? I had no idea.
-
yea since i was about 14. not so much the past 7-8 years but im slowly getting back into it.
-
Think we've already discussed this one Dave so you knows my thoughts from one guitarist to another...
KICK ASS PEDAL
-
Well i went to the guitar center in harrisburg over the weekend and played it and I also played the Boss gt10. And they both rocked and are $499.99. So im undecided between the 2. they were steering me towards the boss but i've heard so much good stuff about the pod. I think im going with the pod this weekend.
-
well, i got the pod X3 live and it does rock. This thing is almost too powerfull so many effects and options..it's gonna be hard for me to decide which effects and amps to use. And then theres the interface whew it's a confusing piece of hardware, oh well a small price to pay for good tone. I'll put up a few pics over the weekend when i get time.

heres some pics of my guitar and the X3 live

I got blisters on me fingers! U and ur easy electric guitar strings. I was practicing my acoustic for about an hour tonight and have huge freakin callouses and massive finger throbbing going on. Thats steel strings for ya I guess LOL
-
my strings are steel there just a little lighter.

Yes it's not the most easy multieffects unit but it is worth it. That patch that i was using was a preset one that i modified a bit with the noise gate to keep it really really quiet. Im still learning how to use the thing but I really only want about 4 different tones. A good Dimebag tone. a good SRV tone and a good van Halen tone. oh maybe throw in a little Hendrix and Satriani for good measure. dimabag is going to be the hardest i think cause his damn overdrive is so over the top and yet it doesn't get muddy.
-
Nice! I had no idea Dave! Hearing enter sandman brings back memories of me and my buddies attempting to make a band in my old basement. I think we had a very simple song called "F*@# You!".
-
haha. yea i just recently started playing again so my fingers are way out of shape. I stopped playing about 10 years ago or so. I used to be a good bit better but It should come back to me quickly. That blue ibanez i bought when i was 18 and sold it to my brother-in-law for some needed college tuition in '97. i just got it back 2 weeks ago. the pod is great and the tone is pretty good the crappy audio from my cheesy kodak doesn't do it justice. I would like to hear that song sometime!!!
-
Yeah, line6 amps and fx are EXCELLENT! I used to sell them at the Pawnshop I used to work at and I always tested them out. THey sound really sweet!
-
I'm a Marshall fan myself though nothing wrong with Line6. To be honest I'm hooked with Behringer because thats what my ultra acoustic is. One hell of a loud amp and pretty darn cheap too. It's made with German pride :-)
-
Krank Krankenstein ftw

Behringer makes acoustic guitars? I thought they only made mixers and stuff for DJ's.

The mixer/amp we used at the last 2 150s is a Behringer. I have been very happy with it. Great sound and lots of power.

Ahhh...yeah i didnt explain that very well I guess. The amp for my acoustic guitar (technically acoustic electric because it has a fisher pickup on it) is a Behringer Ultracoustic.

you have a martin too right?
-
Had actually Dave...A Martin DCX1E Acoustic Electric. I ended up selling it after the accident (the 1k i sold it for kept me a float while I wasnt working for a good 6 months so..Hospital bills and physical therapy are damn expensive )
I'm planning on buying it again but right now I have a fender acoustic electric and a Johnson acoustic which I fiddle around with. Both really POS guitars but now that I'm rolling in some green I'll be able to pick up my precious again
