I find the hacks accusation to be complete bullCrap.  Origin (the player accused) did not have a single third party program on his PC.  It was a performance tweak config that had settings in it that were deemed "cheat" commands by Valve (there for not allowing them to be changed).  These commands do not even come close to what could be considered "hacks".  The three commands turned off 3d skys, and rain effects to raise FPS.  I suggest before making your reviews that you not slander people and know what actually happened.

Here, I'll even quote a segment from the staff:

Quote
H4X
Regarding the CS:S tournament that is being called into question regarding "H4X". The staff was informed of a possible problem, we investigated strongly, reviewed console logs, server logs, etc... and we found NO FAULT with anyone involved! In fact, one of the members of the losing team was one of the team members reviewing the logs, and even he could not find fault with the winning team! The CS:S tournament results are NOT in question! This is the problem with some people who are not properly informed or chose not to ask!

I loved the lan.. to tell the truth it was the first i had ever been to and actualy compete in anyway.. The hacking things could have not been there but they did provide for ALOT of ego boosting when i got home. All and all i had a really great time and am looking forword to the next. (and sorry to the people who feel that it was injust for the staff to make a dicision you didnt like, mabye next time you could say some thing about it when you are there and not wait till you get home to post about it.) Thanks alot to the staff for making the lan enjoyable to everyone but keeping order. BIG THANKS to Pride :D, and too all the troppers out there they made the 6:30AM movies good. Team ELITE for that intence last match and all the other teams. Like i said, i had an amazing time and im looking forword for the next. <333 ~ Origin  :10:  I loved the lan.. to tell the truth it was the first i had ever been to and actualy compete in anyway.. Great lan, my second fites! Id like to thanks the staff for keeping the lan as smooth as possible. As for the downsides > "lack of true lan party spirit"  - (pride) is the best way to discribe it

Thanks alot, looking forward to the next one!

Better question Rathe was hashing from DC++. Specifically from COOL8, then COOL8 comes on and says for people to stop because he is reformatting windows and is re-hashing everything. Who the hell does that at a lan party?

He was having a problem with BF2 crashing, so instead of troubleshooting it properly, he decided to reformat his PC. Of course, that didn't work and BF2 continued to crash on him. After 20 minutes sitting with him, I found the problem and it was fine (trying to run his sound set to Ultra High). Too bad that was just about an hour before the LAN was over...
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
