I too loved 1942.  Its unfortunate that it really has shown its age.  Still there was nothing more fun than the late night (10ish) storming of the Normandy beaches at Bills LANs.

oh i loved the jungles in BF nam.  great to hide in!

Plus the custom radio tracks in the vehicles was great.  Nothing like flying through the jungle playing "Paint It Black".

Next Lan we play BF Vietnam!!!

I like Joint Ops better than BF 'nam. But It seems like no one has ever played that game.

i was excited about joint ops but I hated the control sheme like you had to do some combi to enter a vehicle.  and i really liked the engine when i saw the trailer of the game but then i got it and i was like this isn't nearlky as nice as what the trailer looked like.  I so wanted that game to be good but i was disapointed a bit.

I have just recently got back into Homeworld 2. Hey Rathe you want to play some of that next time? Or Homeworld or possibly Cataclysm?

I have a novel idea, how bout this lan is just dedicated to old school games. Can I get a consensus on that?

yeah I'll be up for some Homeworld 2.  I am not very good at the game as I have never played much.  But I love to play online.  I'll look you up on Vent when I get ready.
