yea i thought BF2 was much better then BF2142 too.  I guess im just not into the futuristic weapons.  laser guns and the like don't do anything for me but i sure do get a kick out rocket guns!

As far as gameplay goes I think BF1942 (DC) and BF Nam were much better than BF2.  The learning curve was much lower, the vehicles were more fun to drive/fly and things were just more fun.  That is my opinion anyway.
