George Carlin - Dead at 71
« on: June 23, 2008, 11:07:52 AM »
George Carlin died of heart failure at age 71. Carlin is best known, of course, for his seven dirty words that you can't say on television. So in remembrance, take some time to enjoy "the list" and laugh as only he could make you.

I always wanted to see him in person and he came to York pretty regularly. I guess I'll never get the chance to now.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

I actually got to see him on my honeymoon.  We went to Caesars Pocono Resorts (if you can make it I highly recommend going there) and he just happened to be the entertainment and since we were staying there we got free tickets.  Wouldn't have minded seeing him again live.
Never, but never question the engineers judgement.

George Carlin was one of those names i've "heard of" but i never really knew anything about him nor had I heard his stand-up routine.  But damn that youtube clip was funny.  I'm still wiping tears from my eyes.

Nstuff, dude, you are seriously missing out. I cannot recommend his stuff more highly. You must check it out. Besides the list of 7 dirty words, my next favorite is probably the one on euphemisms.
