So i've ended up doing a fresh install of xp cause i had some issues with my last install. Its a long story but anyways. Now if you remember back I had made a post about how I couldn't seem to patch bf2. Well since then I've done a fresh install of xp..installed xp and was able 2 patch fine up to 1.3. Well now since i've had to reinstall xp yet again, I'm trying to get bf2 to patch

and once again, i've ran into problems. I'm not sure if its the hardware on my rig or what, but for some reason it just has issues with me patching. I've sucessfully patched every game i have but bf2...the only one to give me issues. Its gets up 2 8% where its patching client.zip files in the mod directory..then fails. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 2 times already. Along with that, I've downloaded 1.3 patch full 2x already. Both times i've had no luck. I'm pretty sure it's not my downloading because i copied the files straight off the patch server at the 100 man last time and still couldn't seem to get the thing patched.



So any ideas of a solution would be welcomed. As of now I'm downloading 1.2 patch and i'm praying that i can get it to patch that far. Then I was gonna try 1.2 to 1.3 incremental patch, see if that works. Anyways, wondering if anyone had any other ideas they'd care to share

Well here is my bit, about the server thing. Probably during the copying of the 1.3 patch from the server it might have gotten corrupt. My reason for thinking this is that I once had all my music, videos etc, backed to a external harddrive. While getting them back, I ran into problems. Sure it copied over no problems, it was just when I played the songs. It would get like 20 seconds in and die, tried other songs same thing. The problem has to be in the copying process. Have you tried that auto-patch software that is on the left below the media section on the page. I used that and it didn't give me no problems.

Try other websites like www.filefront.com or www.fileplanet.com none of those websites ever gave me problems with downloading patches.

Visit ftp://largedownloads1.ea.com , I usually pull about 3mb/s and never get anything corrupted.  Also, another thing you can try is download the v1.22 patch and then do the incremental to 1.3.  Good Luck!
