After seeing cuzzkev's compressor I had to get one, $66 shipped from Harbor Freight* with hose and blow gun. 110psi that never runs out is awesome, I will save money in the long run by no longer getting those duster cans.
*You could go in the store to save $8 but I was there today and everything was a friggin' hassle so I left.
-
Yeah, if you're into pc repair, it'll save you loads of money. I had one at my old job - a $50 portable one. Used it to clean the dust out of everything.
-
Yeah, but then now you cant turn it upside down to unexpectedly freeze your buddy's ear!
-
I am a trend setter....wOOt...Lindsay Lohan better watch out now.
-
I didn't know doing coke and driving drunk just 11 days after leaving rehab was a trend. Man, I feel so uncool now.

Hey...I have resembled that in the past.

True but having the compressor land on your buddy's foot is a entirely different sort of humor.
-
I'd rather use the air compressor for the same purpose of such shenanigans as freezing your buddies ear. Like messing up his hair. Good thing that won't work on me.

I hear by resurrect this thread!
Anyone have part numbers for what they bought at Freight Harbor? They are having a crazy sale on Micro Fiber towels so I'm picking them up, and figured Id pickup an air compressor for all my PC needs.
-
I actually got mine at Home Depot. Any smaller compressor will work such as:

Nice, Ill check them out... Thanks again.
-
So I take it that the smaller guys (30-40 PSI) just don't have enough power to do a good job?
-
Well, they might. But I also picked up a brad nailer to things around the house and use it for inflating vehicle / bike tires. Looking a framing nailer for next remodel project. Should make it easier.
-
The Canned air bottles produce anywhere from 40 to 70 PSI. So if you get a compressor that only runs 30-40 it isn't going to blow as well. Might as well pay a bit more for a better compressor.
-
I wasn't worried about overall cost (within reason), I was just looking for a smaller compressor. My apt already has enough stuff laying around, I wanted something I could store away more easily. I started looking at the airbrush compressors just based on the size.
-
Mine goes to 100 psi, I got it at target for $60. Best deal evah!
-
And what did you get?
