No Go For the Upcoming Lan
« on: March 09, 2006, 07:49:53 PM »
Unfortanatly I won't be in attendence for the next 50 man lan cuzz is hosting up at the daycare. Would be there with the exception that I still can't get BF2 to patch right. I figure that if I can't play BF2, what's the point of going (considering it'll be the game played for 10 out of the 24 hours. Anyways, maybe if i can figure it out...I might change my mind...but unless that happens soon, looks to be a no go. I'll be at the following 1 though to pwn u all in unreal

there is still a week until the event... rebuild your PC!

Ghost it to a spare HD, then rebuild.. see if that corrects the problem.

Make sure you download the full one and not the incremental :P I made that mistake at first. Fileshack had one the front page Battlefield 1.21 patch released and sent you to the link for the incremental =/ almost didnt catch it at first

Also, working on the itinerary and trying to shorten up the times we have for any particular game and getting more rotation in.  So instead of marathon battles, trying to keep it fresh.  I expect the itinerary will be posted by monday morning.  Therefore, if you dont play bf2, there will still be alot of other action between the ut, bf42, cod2, css, etc.

and what better place to get assistance than spending 24 hours with 49 other geeks?
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

Well...I didn't know that bf2 was coming out with a new patch. Maybe I'll get to go after all if all works out good. Anyways, I got the bf2 iso and reinstalled bf2 over again. I haven't tried to patch it yet...so i'm not sure that didn't fix it.I believe that my cd's may not be copying installed files right to my hd. In anycase if it doesn't work...i'm considering formating and reinstalling.

Most of my stuff is on another hd and I miss playing bf2 so much....i have to find online video's and pretend I'm playing em myself...and it's still not enough...tear

Well, if you own a valid key, you could always download a "backup image" from the internet, burn them to disc, then try installing from those using your legit key!
