New news todays from Kotaku. An even bigger blow to MW2.
http://kotaku.com/5397149/modern-warfare-2-pc-multiplayer-capped-at-9v9I wanted to buy this game. I played single player for MW and thought that while it looked fine, it felt terribly..... scripted. After trying the multiplayer a bit at the last F150, I saw where the bulk of the development went. It impressed me enough to want to get the next game that came out as any MW2 would only be an improvement, right? I'd deal with the cost, simple because I'd be a newcomer to the series, effectively. This, however, is just unacceptable in my opinion. Killing off support for large-scale battles with large teams/clans?
As Henry Rollins and William Shatner once said, "I can't get behind that!"
I mean, I can understand them wanting to have people do small team battle and from time to time, that's pretty cool. You and your team have to use tactics instead of overwhelming force and I can dig that from time to time. Just..... to say users HAVE to do it is just wrong. My money is with BC2 this time. I enjoyed BC on the xbox and after seeing the video on youtube (helicopters again! WOO!) and Dice's response to the dedicated servers announcement, this 9v9 thing is just all but the last nail in the coffin as far as I'm concerned.
