Im glad to see this is having a very negative effect on the game and I hope IW takes notice to all this.  Maybe they will decide to add it afterall.  I won't be buying the game without the dedicated server.  At least i will entertain the thought of not buying it.

I'm soured by the entire thing. Since WaW didn't thrill me, I was really looking forward to MW2 but to hear of this just kinda irks me.  I, too, will be thinking of putting off getting this until dedicated server support is added. But in all honesty, If enough of your weekend regulars get it, I`ll grab one just to partake in the fun. Ha.

The next thing they will do is shut down (Or reduce to a token amount) online servers when MW3 comes out.  This turns MW2 into a single player game and forces an upgrade.

the A2K Clan Website has a direct message response they received from Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling saying that he's making sure the powers-that-be at his company see the outcry and petitions over the lack of dedicated server support in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (thanks Computer and Video Games). Word is: "Definitely made a big wave, and the response will not be ignored. I'll ensure everyone at IW sees the petitions and responses [sic] to it."

I wish i had a jacked copy of an EA game for every time EA has banned one of my accounts for a TOS violation... wait I do.. but I'm still pissed that Booniger got banned on tiger woods golf... that Scottish blackman could really swing the clubs!

A hosed me with BF2142.  It looks likie MW2 is available for pre-purchase thru steam now with no discount/freebee.  I would like to try and buy on this one, hopefully there will be an unofficial mod for offline play.
