dont make me cancel it! :shakeno:
-
i am seeing what i can do. anyone know how agent is getting there if he goes?
-
want to drive us billa?
deli tray.... anyone thing they might be bringing any kind of side (as in w/o meat)
-
if i drive, we have to leave by like 9:30pm or stay the night
-
i am going to have to say that one wouldn't be up to me.
-
I heavily considered going but two things excluded me.
A) Cost prohibitive: 15 dollars for a minor friendly lan? Comon man. I can have beer and chips at my place for less than that.
B) Location. At the top of the page it says "serving the gamers of harrisburg".. THEN it says "and the rest of central pa" ... so why do I have to drive an hour and a half just to go to a lan party?
Instead, we arranged a small 4-6 person lan with some friends at his house in enola.
I'm not saying that you should up and change things for me, I just want you to know the reasoning as to why me and my friends did not go.
-
15 bucks includes all of the food and drink as well as the electricity to run these systems and the crazy cooling that is needed to cool 26 gaming rigs.
Port Trevorton is only 40 minutes from harrisburg. Not really that far considering....
a 4-6 man lan is boring in any FPS game. Sure, for strat games its a blast, but how fun is battlefield 3 on 3?
-
I'm just saying man - those were my reasons. I'm coming in from swatara. That means I gotta shoot down 83 to 81 to enola to port trevorton. I understand the costs and all but those two factors are why I didn't go. I figured you guys could use as much input as possible on this. I'd probably have gone if it were closer.
-
time spent driving is no excuse. it is well worth 15 bucks for gaming with people that are just as into it as you.
sure it might not cost you 15 bucks to sit on your ass at home, drink beer, eat chips, watch pr0n and beat off.
both are pretty good options but i could do that second part anynight of the Fudgeing week. you havnt LANed till you've done it FITES style.
-
amen to that! i got to figure out whether or not i can make it
-
sry billabond... i cant come to this one. my b-day is on the 8th and im visiting my sis in newjersey on the 9th soooooo.. yeah. first fites lan i'll be missing since i joined
-
:sadwalk: nice to see you post agent.
-
I hate to say I have to agree some of the others. We have people that come from Annapolis, Baltimore, and New Jersey, so Swatara ain't gonna cut it.
-
I want to come to another party guys, but I hit a pothole @ my girlfriends school (good old KU) on that rain'y night last week and snaped a belt in my passanger side tire and locked my strut in place.....
so I'm out of a car and $600 BUT, I will have a 2" Lower GTi Vr6 by May 1st

Whatever bro. People ask for reasons, I provided them. I don't care if you like them or not.
You guys don't like the answers you get then don't ask the damn question.

if i can get a couple of my fav. pals to get their licenses soon enough then i do believe we may start attending the monthlies.
-
Looks like only 13 are signed up for now. I don't remember how many there were last time, but if there's about that many again, it'll be good times. I'm trying to recruit some people from on campus, but I keep hearing poor excuses.
-
we had 25 last time..... this will be quite different....
-
UT2k4 still plays alright with fewer players. BF might seem spread too thin. I'm sure we'll come up with something.
-
I will be at Tronet sometime on Sat. with 2 other peeps..
Can we join in the fun? :badboy:
They are BF, CoD, an UT players..
-
unfortunately, this location doenst haven broadband...
-

even with 13 it will still be as much fun, just not as big of teams.... i didnt notice much difference when our local lan group ran 12 vs the usual showing of 6-8
