Don't think I remember telling everyone this but last tuesday my 80gb hard drive finally ended up failing on me. Unfortanitly I had xp on it along with a few documents which I would of liked to have kept. I have a 160gb however so I instantly reinstalled xp on that and was back up. I also was very lucky to keep my music collection and other various items which I kept on my 160gb for this exact reason.
So with that said...i bought a new toy. Found it online for about 70 bucks...a 2.5" external hd. It's a 60gb seagate hd. Heres some pics for ya

Thing I love the most is that it doesn't require a power brick or anything. It's sorta cool. It takes up 2 usb connections which feeds the hd with plenty of power. So i'm truely able to go anywhere with it. Thought it was a sweet deal..Ur thoughts

i just picked up a 150gb western digital raptor
-
I have an 80 WD passport.. Only one usb port used. No brick.
-
Looks like we are goin to have a "whip out" session here soon. Well my 250s require a brick..boo hoo and they dont like to share across the internal network.
-
i can only use 1 usb if I choose..but the manual said that at times the hd won't get enough power and u will end up hearing some kind of clicking noise. I think any "clicking" sound is a bad sound so I havn't risked it and just plug in the 2 usb connectors instead of one. Supposably it does work with just one. I guess I'll have to test it out eventually

oh yeah, my server has 750gb, and a 480watt powersupply! and 12 fans!
-
I have a Kingwin External Drive, I have a 20GB now in it. Supports up to 320GBs, I only use it to back up files and such. Hasn't failed me yet.
