Title: New Comp Up And Running, After being Out for 2 Weeks..
Post by: .:F3ar0n:. on January 19, 2006, 10:49:52 PM
Hey

I don't know how many people knew or not but I just wanna say that my new comp is up and running and it's great. i've been going through computer withdraw for the past 2 weeks now, so I can't wait to get back to my 6-8 hour gaming schedule. (those at the lan be forwarned...  :boxer: )

Anyway, with my new rig, I bought a Cooler Master Praetorian 730 in black and a moded side panel window. A link for you all to drool over...

I then installed a brand new Thermaltake Bigwater SE water cooling system, which took forever to install. I haven't been able to test out the cooling for oc'ing, but the reviews are promising (2.8 to 3.4 p4 Oc'd) I'll let you know how high I get it up (Have a amd 4000+, wanna get it to 2.6). Heres a review link for ya to uber over...

I also installed 2 UV lights with green neon sleeving, along with 2 rounded green lighted ata cable and a blue lighted floppy cable. The fand are neon blue as well...so turned on, it looks really sweet. It's midnight now, but tomorrow sometime, I'll post some pics of the case. Overall, it was a 7 hour job from start to finish. The reason being is that the case supports 2 80 mm  and the radiater/fan was to big to mount internal or extrenal out the back. I ended up having to a cut a hole to mount the unit on the side panel of the case (other side of the window). This of course ment that I had to align the input and output of the radiator, cut a mold for the unit to breath and cut the side panel. Overall, It was a pretty big mod to get the thing to run (had air compressor with die and saw kit, so wasn't too long)

I'm pretty proud of it and all the time I put into it. It turned out looking pretty close to perfect like out of a machine shop. Like I said, I'll post pics of it tomorrow, its badass...   :2thumbsup:

Later

Dave
