I get this email:
item I received is not as described:
I have a Dell XPS 8100 which is compatible with the 260 but when I installed it, it did not work.
** Quick google search shows me the sh*tty Dell XPS 8100 only has a 350 watt PS stock. I wonder why it's not running the GTX 260 I sold to him? Could it be he's not running the mimimum 500 Watt 36 AMP 12v Power Supply recommended by Nvidia? Sigh. Sometimes I wonder. My frustrations being noted before I go postal.

Heh did ya respond yet? I'd be curious to see what he has to say.

At least it is a normal computer. We use Dells here at work and all of them are built in the case backwards. The case opens on the right side when looking at the front instead of the left. Makes it hard as hell to put a graphics card in since it has to be single slot and they don't have any extra power connectors in them. That and the Power Supplies are just barely big enough to power what is already in the computer.

His Response:
I did not realize the power requirements. I will get another power supply and get back to you.

There is a standard for that... It's called BTX..

you might want to warn him that some Dell motherboards use proprietary PSU plugs, the plug is actually the same (meaning a normal PSU will physically fit into the mobo plug), but the pins are swapped, so a normal PSU will fry a Dell mobo. At least this is the way it used to be. I've heard that they supposed changed this, but i'd still be VERY careful.

With the power eBay buyer protection provides this may ent up being a nightmare. I hope things turn out for the best, my mom was a power seller and had to get out.
He can take a dump in the box and ship it back to you for a refund and as long as that tracking number says delivered ebay will give this dude his money back if he requests a refund.

The best thing you can do is find out his problem and solve it in ever way.
Tell him it as clearly as possible

NEVER sell ANYTHING on Ebay these days. Ebay is a Fudgeing nightmare. The only way to sell anything without issue is if you are selling something that is brand new in the packaging. And even then you may have issues. Paypal is the suck. Sell it on Craigslist.

I knew about the pin swap on some dells Nstuff but I thought it was only on certain models. I didn't think all dells had the 2 pin swap on the 24 pin. I'm just going to let it go and see what happens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't try to return the thing for a refund because of his stupidity of not knowing what the fudge he was doing
